OMEGA 3 KRILL OIL

Krill oil comes from little, shrimp-like marine animals. Despite their size, don't underestimate them. These tiny crustaceans are rich in omega-3 fatty acids like DHA and EPA. It is believed that the benefits of krill oil are due to its omega-3 fatty acid content. There aren't many omega-3 fatty acids produced naturally by the body. A diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids can help reduce pain and swelling, as well as prevent blood from clotting easily.

My multivitamins are carefully crafted using special techniques to facilitate optimal absorption. I use scientific methods to ensure that my formulas are easily absorbed and effective. My powerful blend is comprised of some of history’s most highly regarded superfoods providing powerful nutrients essential for health and wellness.

What are omega-3s?

Omega-3 fatty acids are known as "essential fatty acids" — meaning your body doesn't naturally produce them, even though they are needed to support a variety of bodily functions. A variety of omega-3 fatty acids are available, including eicosatetraenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).

  • The most active omega-3 fatty acids in the human body are EPA and DHA. The two are most commonly found in seafood sources, such as fatty fish. Whole fish contains omega-3s in the form of triglycerides, phospholipids, and free fatty acids.
  • ALA, meanwhile, must be converted into EPA or DHA, and is commonly found in walnuts, chia and flax seeds, as well as green, leafy vegetables.
  • A unique omega-3 found in roe oil and green-lipped mussels is eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA). The benefits of this type have only recently been recognized, including their potential to help balance the body's omega-6 to omega-3 ratio.

What is the importance of omega-3s?

Did you know that approximately 90% of Americans don't get enough omega-3s? It's alarming to know that these fatty acids offer such a full body support yet are only being accessed by a small portion of the population. A fatty acid with omega-3 fatty acids is known as an essential fatty acid, meaning that your body cannot manufacture them naturally, but it does need them for overall health and performance.

Your health depends on getting omega-3s in your diet. In fact, the American Heart Association recommends that Americans eat at least two servings of fatty fish per week. Yet many Americans don't have an adequate balance of omega fatty acids because the standard American diet is overloaded with omega-6s and omega-9s. People eating a "standard Western diet" tend to consume a lot of omega-6s, but not enough omega-3s. Therefore, increasing your omega-3 intake can help to get your levels back in balance.

Health and wellness are heavily dependent on omega-3 fatty acids. In addition to supporting healthy brain function and cardiovascular function, omega-3s also contribute to a healthy immune response.

Phospholipids are important molecules that play a vital role in countless cellular functions. As a result of their amphipathic properties, phospholipids exhibit a wide range of biochemical and physiological properties.

Phospholipids are bilayers of lipids that are essential for the structure and function of membranes.

THE BENEFITS OF PHOSPHOLIPIDS

There are both direct and indirect regulatory functions of phospholipids, which can be attributed to their metabolites. It is well established that phospholipids participate in a broad range of cellular events that are crucial for the transmission of cellular signals to cellular actions.

Various organelles and cell membranes, such as mitochondria, endothelial cells, and aggregated or activated platelets, contain phospholipids, which are abundant in the brain, spinal cord, and body fluids such as plasma. These cells are an important source of anionic phospholipids that provide a surface for proteins and act as modulators of the coagulation process.

Phospholipids are essential for various metabolic processes:

  • Energy producing
  • Component of bile
  • Transports fat between the liver and intestines
  • Source of essential fatty acids

There are also other functions associated with certain phospholipids. For example, dipalmitoyl phosphatidylcholine is a component of lung fluid, and various phosphatidylserines are necessary for bone formation and blood clotting.

Astaxanthin is one of nature’s most powerful antioxidants. It protects your cells from oxidative damage. In addition, astaxanthin is a powerful anti-inflammatory. From your head to your toes, it appears to reduce inflammation that threatens your overall health.

One of astaxanthin's greatest qualities is that it is both an antioxidant and an anti-inflammatory. It provides two significant health benefits:

  • Protects against oxidative stress
  • Inflammatory reduction

The relationship between oxidative stress and inflammation is very close. During the process of generating energy, free radicals are created by your cells. The presence of free radicals in your body is actually beneficial when they are at low levels. The problem arises when your free radical level is too high, which leads to oxidative stress which is not good. All of the cell structures in your body can be damaged by this element, which speeds up the aging process! Additionally, oxidative stress has been linked to a number of health conditions, including cancer.

Early research indicates astaxanthin could also provide the following health benefits:

  • Boosted immune system
  • A better cognitive function
  • Healthy skin
  • Healthy heart
  • Increased blood flow
  • Enhanced vision
  • Strength, endurance, and recovery of muscles are improved
  • Increased fertility in men
